What a beautiful town, what a lovely hotel. Friendly staff, very clean, incredibly accommodating and yes, they have parking a few blocks from the hotel. The location is close to both squares and the ocean front. I wish we would have stayed multiple days here.
Very nice art hinten located directly in nazare. Very Friendly staff, nice theme rooms and great breakfast.
Very helpful staff. Clean room. Lots of restaurants close by. Car park arrangement with local car park 14 euros per day. No safe, but reception will store valuables. 6 euro taxi ride to old town centre for tapas bars.
Hotel was overall great . Knocked one star off for the fridge in room , was noisy. Friendly staff . Breakfast was good and there was parking nearby in a separate location within walking distance.
Stayed on night here on October .
Pros: -Location was very good.
-Staff were very friendly, and pre-stay communication was
excellent.
-Breakfast was good. Simple buffet which seemed standard at
such hotels.
- Room was simple, good size and clean.
- A/C worked well.
Cons: - Parking both for check in and for overnight was tricky. First,
double park in tiny space outside hotel lobby to check in, and then
get accompanied by a staff member to drive through a very narrow
alley and then up a narrow street two blocks away for parking in a
basement garage with the steepest ramp ever I've encountered to
park. Then walk back.
- Twin beds pushed together were not very comfortable. Pillows
very flat.
-Our room was in what I understood to be a newer "annex" a couple
doors down from the main hotel building, so walk to main hotel for
breakfast. (To the right of the Tattoo shop sign in the attached
street view photo.)
- Hair dryer on wall in bathroom was broken. (On check out we were
told there was a working hair dryer in a drawer below the sink. Didn't
think to look for more hair dryers.
- No coffee maker, only hot water maker (for instant coffee or tea
packets) with a plug cord which did not reach the wall plug below
the counter. Had to move water heater to the floor to use. (Only
one non decaf instant packet and nothing for creamer!)
- Shower stall had no shelf or seat for shampoo or soap resting.
Never encountered that before in a hotel.
Could have gone four stars on the rating if the room issues didn't irritate us so much. The parking is likely not a lot better at other hotels in this very cramped beach town. A Nespresso machine in the room would have been huge, as would a working hair dryer, shelf in the shower and pillow selection for the beds. Perhaps a main building room would have been better.
Not the hotel's fault, but the town is super cramped, can't park car anywhere even to just check-in and get the info about the hotel's own parking. Room was brand new and nothing to complain about the breakfast either.
Simple elegance~ sound proof room. Stayed a week and the staff members were warm and professional. Quiet room with windows/doors closed. Patio can look out to the funicular and the blue skies. Centrally located with a convenience store and restaurants just about 2-minute walk away. Highly recommended if you value simplicity and elegance.
my last stop on a 10 country, 2 month trip in which i try to find the best reviewed boutique hotels within my price point.
hotel magic ranks up there with the best i have stayed at. it is immaculately clean and maintained, central, great wifi and the breakfast is above and beyond given the number of guests this time of year. rosanna and david are fantastic at the front desk.
nazare far exceeded my expectations and is a truly beautiful spot with countless great sites to visit nearby in the rental car. it reminds me a lot of my local surf town, tofino, bc.
